40 percent of the students think it is kind of ridiculous. In their opinions, it is useless helping people communicate or learn English. Besides, it will ruin the Chinese language. However, the others, 60 percent of our class, are fond of the Web language. They think it is helpful in expressing themselves. What’s more, it may make the language more interesting.

Will Network Classrooms Replace Traditional Classrooms
With the popularization of the Internet, network classrooms are gaining more and more popularity. As a new teaching pattern, network classrooms have become an effective complement to traditional classrooms. So some people propose one question: will network classrooms replace traditional classrooms
As to this question, the opinions vary from one to another. Some people think it quite possible for network classrooms to take the place of traditional classrooms. Secondly, network classrooms release teachers from repeating the same contents since the video or audio material can be played time and again. However, many people have opposite standpoints. Internet Slang
Internet slang such as LOL (laughing out loud) and ROFL (rolling on the floor laughing) enjoys great popularity among teenagers nowadays. In fact, it becomes so popular that many terms now cross from computer-mediated communication to face-to-face communication. Some teenagers even use them in essay writing.
People have different opinions towards this phenomenon. Some people say that it will help enrich the language system and make language diverse. But others disagree, saying that these new words, being abbreviations for existing, long-used phrases, dont "enrich" anything; they just shorten it and their total effect on language will be trivial.
In my opinion, Internet slang has little effect on language in general, but will greatly influence individuals, especially teenagers language development. The reason is that overuse of Internet slang will lead to the lack of proper punctuations and grammar and has numerous misspellings in writing. That will drastically reduce chances of employment when students graduate and seek jobs. So, for the sake of their future, teenagers had better refrain from Internet slang.

The cartoon presents a disturbing phenomenon in our society: the prevalence of coined network phrases among teenagers. According to a survey, eighty-five percent of teenagers use coined network phrases in their text messages and e-mails on a daily basis. What’s worse, seventy percent of teenagers have been using network abbreviation in their school work. Though some network languages have come into our vocabulary, the majority of network languages are coined and not commonly used, and some even shallow andd vulgar in content. Educators are much worried that these coined languages will exert a negative effect on the teenagers both in their growth and in their study of the Chinese language.
In my opinion, we should adopt an objective attitude towards the emergence of network language. On the one hand, network language has enriched our language, especially our oral language, making it more colorful. On the other hand, network language has a negative impact on our traditional language. Many network words and phrases are ridiculous in meaning and not standardized in formation, which will severely affect teenagers in their language study. Therefore, some necessary measures should be taken to ensure a healthy development of network language.
