重點(diǎn)、難點(diǎn)：
一. steal / rob.
1. steal指暗中竊取他人財(cái)物，所接的都是物，如錢財(cái)、物品等。
steal +sth +from +sb. / some place
They stole all our money.
他們把我們的錢都偷走了。

He stole money from the rich to give it to the poor.
他劫富濟(jì)貧。
2. rob +sb. / some place + of +sth. 表示搶劫或盜竊

三. need
1. need做名詞，need of / for ＋名詞/動(dòng)名詞或不定式
There is no need for you to wait. 你不必等。
There is no need of / for money. 不需要錢。
當(dāng)need做復(fù)數(shù)時(shí)“必需之物，需求之物”
Our needs should come before our wants.
先有了生活必需品，才能談想要的東西。
2. need做動(dòng)詞，接名詞、代詞、不定式，意思是“需要，必要”
Do you need some more water.
你還需要水嗎？
You don’t need to come if you are not free.
如果你沒(méi)空就不必來(lái)了。
need sb to do sth.
I need you to help me.
我需要你來(lái)幫助我。
四. escape的用法：
1. escape from / out of 從…逃走
He escaped from / out of burning building.
他從著火的建筑物中逃出。
2. escape +n / doing 逃離
I escaped death by luck.
我僥幸逃過(guò)一死。
He was thankful to escape being caught.
他慶幸未被抓獲。
3. escape 被（人）遺忘，逃過(guò)（人的）注意、記憶
Her name escaped me.
我忘記了她的名字。
The fact escaped my notice.
我沒(méi)注意到這一事實(shí)。
五. match的用法
1. match作名詞，“比賽”。
We will have a basketball match tomorrow.
Who won the match in the end?
2. match 作動(dòng)詞“和…相配，和…相稱，比得上”
Your clothes match your hat very well in colours.
你的衣服和你的帽子的顏色搭配很協(xié)調(diào)。
Your drawings can’t match him.
你的畫(huà)比不上他的。
六. 定語(yǔ)從句
在復(fù)合句中，修飾某一名詞或代詞的從句叫做定語(yǔ)從句、被修飾的名詞或代詞叫先行詞，定語(yǔ)從句必須放在先行詞之后。
引導(dǎo)定語(yǔ)從句的詞有兩類：
關(guān)系代詞：
that（指人或物），which（一般指物），who（指人）whom（指人），whose（指人或物），在句中作主、表、賓、定語(yǔ)。
關(guān)系副詞：where（指地點(diǎn)），when（指時(shí)間），why（指原因），在句中做狀語(yǔ)。
1. 由who, whom, whose引導(dǎo)的定語(yǔ)從句
在這類從句中who作主語(yǔ)，whom作賓語(yǔ)，whose作定語(yǔ)。
The woman who is talking with the headmaster is Lily’s mother. （主語(yǔ)）
That girl about whom you are talking. （賓語(yǔ)）
那就是你們?cè)谡務(wù)摰呐ⅰ?/p>
This is the woman whose wallet was stolen yesterday. （定語(yǔ)）
這就是昨天錢包被偷的女人。
2. 由which引導(dǎo)的定語(yǔ)從句
which在從句中可作主語(yǔ)和賓語(yǔ)，指物。作主語(yǔ)時(shí)不能省略，作賓語(yǔ)時(shí)口語(yǔ)中常被省略。
The fish which we bought was not fresh. （賓語(yǔ)）
He bought the jacket which was the cheapest out in the shop. （主語(yǔ)）
注意which 和that引導(dǎo)的定語(yǔ)從句中都修飾“物”，但在以下情況只能用which.
（1）當(dāng)關(guān)系代詞在介詞后面時(shí)，只用which.
What’s the question about which they are talking?

（2）當(dāng)先行詞是that，關(guān)系代詞要用which.
What’s that which you are holding in your hands?
你手里拿的那個(gè)是什么？
3. 由that引導(dǎo)的定語(yǔ)從句
that可以指人或物，代替who、whom、which，在句中作主語(yǔ)和賓語(yǔ)（不能放在介詞后作賓語(yǔ)）在從句中作賓語(yǔ)時(shí)常被省略。
I don’t like people that / who get angry easily. （主語(yǔ)）
Here is the man（whom/who/that）you want to see. （賓語(yǔ)）
這就是你想見(jiàn)的人。
Don’t buy potatoes that / which are green.
注意：在下列情況下只能用that.
（1）先行詞為不定代詞all, everything, nothing, something, anything, none, the one等詞。
We should do all that is useful to the people.
I’m going to buy everything that I need.
（2）當(dāng)先行詞有only, any, all, no, few, little, one of, just, very等詞修飾時(shí)。
The only thing that we should do was wait.
This is one of the presents that my father gave me on my birthday day.
（3）先行詞前有一個(gè)最高級(jí)形容詞修飾時(shí)
This is the best film that I’ve ever seen.
（4）當(dāng)先行詞是序數(shù)詞或被序數(shù)詞修飾
The first friend that I know in American was Lucy.
When we talk about Hangzhou, the first that comes into mind is West Lake.
（5）當(dāng)先行詞既有人又有物時(shí)
The writer and his novel that you have just talked about is really well known.
（6）當(dāng)先行詞為數(shù)詞時(shí)
Yesterday I caught two fish and put them in a basin of water. Now you can see the two that are still alive.
（7）主句是there be 結(jié)構(gòu)，修飾主語(yǔ)的定語(yǔ)從句。
There is a room in the hotel that is still free.
（8）關(guān)系代詞本身是定語(yǔ)從句的表語(yǔ)時(shí)
My hometown is not longer the place that it used to be.
4. 由when, where, why引導(dǎo)的定語(yǔ)從句
That is the house where she was born.
She came at a time when we needed her most.
I don’t know the reason why she was so angry.
5. 定語(yǔ)從句主謂一致
當(dāng)關(guān)系代詞在句中作主語(yǔ)時(shí)，從句的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞必須與先行詞保持人稱和數(shù)的一致。
Sam is one of the boys who are from the USA.
Sam is the only boy who is from the USA.
6. 定語(yǔ)從句的時(shí)態(tài)
定語(yǔ)從句可根據(jù)表達(dá)的需要選用相應(yīng)的時(shí)態(tài)。

The world is not hungry, but it is thirsty. It seems strange that nearly 3/4 of the earth is covered with water while we say we are short of （短缺） water. Why?
