學(xué)法指導(dǎo)
本單元的主要話題是比較中國的農(nóng)場和美國的農(nóng)場，同時也將農(nóng)村與城市的生活進行比較。這是一個將形容詞和副詞的比較級派上用場的語境。因此，可采用研究式學(xué)習(xí)方式，比較法、操練法相結(jié)合的學(xué)習(xí)。同學(xué)們可結(jié)合已學(xué)的顏色、季節(jié)、食物、運動等名詞開展自由討論，熟練以上的句型。
語法建議
（1） 情景教學(xué)，教師可以使用圖片展示運動員在運動場上的情景如跑步，賽車等活動，讓學(xué)生先運用形容詞比較級和最高級的相關(guān)句型對運動員進行描述再運用副詞的比較級和最高級的相關(guān)句型對運動情景進行口頭和筆頭的描述。

（2）先復(fù)習(xí)前一單元所學(xué)的形容詞比較級與最高級的構(gòu)成和使用，用old, small,到y(tǒng)oung等詞進行復(fù)習(xí)檢測，然后將這些詞變成beautiful, interesting, exciting等詞進行本單元的重點內(nèi)容講解。具體方法可以通過實物、圖片或簡筆畫對兩種或兩種以上的東西進行對比。
（3）在引入本課語法項目時，教師可以先出示一些形容詞和副詞，請幾個學(xué)生在黑板上寫出這些詞的比較級形式和最高級形式，其它學(xué)生在筆記本上寫。這些詞中有一些不規(guī)則的動詞和多音節(jié)詞。然后對學(xué)生的錯誤進行糾正，加深學(xué)生印象，再幫助學(xué)生自己總結(jié)規(guī)律，并列出此表。

2）在多音節(jié)和部分雙音節(jié)的形容詞和副詞前加上more 或most。
有關(guān)第13課的導(dǎo)入
（1）導(dǎo)語。上次我們一起度過了中秋節(jié)。今天我們?nèi)マr(nóng)場看一看。此時教師讓學(xué)生先閉上眼睛。教師播放事先準備好的錄音播放，如鳥叫，羊叫等聲音。同時出示放大圖片選自課本16頁圖1，制造出一種身臨其境的氛圍。
（2）圖畫內(nèi)容簡介。教師可以就圖片內(nèi)容進行提問：What is this? It is a picture of a farm. What is on the farm? There are some dogs, some cows, hills, and some trees and so on 。此時，利用圖片講解部分新單詞。
（3）組織學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)對話。教師也可以播放媒體動畫，制造情景。內(nèi)容詳見本單元媒體素材中的動畫。
口語訓(xùn)練建議
（1）本單元的口語訓(xùn)練應(yīng)側(cè)重于運用形容詞和副詞的比較級的相關(guān)句型介紹比較中美農(nóng)場的異同和農(nóng)村與城市的差異，教師組織學(xué)生就兩個主題進行討論，在討論之前要求學(xué)生先要熟練掌握課文內(nèi)容，否則學(xué)生說不出，將起不到預(yù)期的效果。
（2）教師也可以讓學(xué)生將第14課的課文改編成一個對話，然后再練習(xí)。
例如：
Jone: Where do you live?
Ji Wei :I live on a farm. What about you?
JOne: I live on a farm too. What is your farm like?
Ji wei: The farm isn’t big. My parents grow rice and wheat. The sky is blue and the hill is green. Jone: Do you like it?
Ji Wei: Certainly. Can you tell me something about your farm?
Jone: On my farm, there is a lake. I always go fishing there in the summer and skating there in the winter. We always grow corn and wheat. Which do you like better, the country or the city?
Ji wei: I think the country is more beautiful than the city. In the city, I can’t hear the animals. In the country I can hear birds sing and sheep bleating.
Jone: I agree with you.
語音教學(xué)建議
oo組合在單詞中的發(fā)音規(guī)律不明顯，建議教師自己總結(jié)規(guī)律如：
A good cook looks book. 一個好廚師看書。這些詞中的 oo組合都發(fā)短元音/u /的音，便于學(xué)生記憶。
詞匯教學(xué)
人教社教學(xué)用書p35-36的詞匯教學(xué)dingbat可以與該單元語法重點（比較級與最高級）相結(jié)合進行。如：
1）A dingbat is something that is more beautiful than all the paper flowers and dry flowers.(It is the real/ fresh flower.
2)A dingbat is something that goes fatster than the bike and the truck,but it is something that goes more slowly than the plane.(It is the car)
3)You like fresh and clean air, so a dingbat is something that you like better than the city.(It is the country)
4)A dingbat is something that is good at keeping the home, you like it better than the cat or the chicken.(It is the dog)

IIII. Leading - in
Use the overhead projector to show the picture in the book. Students describe it and guess what they are going to learn about the picture, explain words they may use to describe the picture. "Some animals can find food themselves but some can't. They wait for people to give them food. People give them food to eat, this is called "feed the animals" "In the picture, there are dogs, cows, hens, sheep, not only one kind, there are many kinds of them."
IV. Practice
Play the tape for the students to listen and check their answers. Explain the comparative of long adjectives. Give more examples, "My coat is beautiful. Her coat is more beautiful than mine."
Play the tape again for students to read after the tape, then act it out in front of the class in pairs.
V. Presentation
Call three students to the front and say, "Mary works hard. Lisa works harder than Mary. Lucy works harder than Lisa. Lucy works hardest of the three."
Say another group of sentences and get the students to repeat, "Linda gets up early. Karren gets up earlier than Linda. Green gets up earliest of all."
Then students look at the picture and read after the tape.

Step 2 Leading - in
Show students pictures of farms in China and America. They talk about the pictures first, then talk about the questions given in pre - reading in small groups. Teacher calls one group to do it as a model.
Step 3 Presentation
Part 1 Pre –read
（1）Show students a picture of a crowded city to teach the word “city” and a picture of countryside to teach “the country”. Draw a tractor on the blackboard and teach the word “tractor”. Ask them where people use that. Help them to say “in the country” or “in the field” or “on the farm”. Imitate the sound and teach the word “bleat”. Use a picture to teach “l(fā)ake” and ask them what people can do in a lake, help them to answer “in summer, we can swim, or go fishing; in winter, We can skate on the ice.”
（2）讓學(xué)生就書上的問題分組進行討論。教師可以進行巡視指導(dǎo)。
（3）教師檢查一組學(xué)生的討論結(jié)果。

學(xué)生通過例子比較兩個句型的區(qū)別。一組句型是兩者這比較，另一組句型是三者這相比較。
教師可以出示一些實物如足球，籃球，排球等或紅白藍等顏色使用上句型進行敘述。
（2）Write the topic “The city or the country” on the blackboard for the students to discuss in pairs. (They may read the dialogue in the book as a model) Encourage students to use dictionaries to help them add new reasons. Point out “l(fā)ots of” means “ a lot of, many.”
（3）教師出示媒體動畫，學(xué)生根據(jù)媒體動畫對畫面進敘述，教師先只讓學(xué)生看字幕和圖，要求學(xué)生自己配上旁白。也可以先讓學(xué)生看一遍內(nèi)容然后再敘述。然后學(xué)生不再看字幕只看畫面進行敘述。
