檢查完后,引入新課.
T: Ok, My little friends. Today we’ll learn Lesson 57. “Where are they from?”
Step1: At first. Please look at the blackboard.(教師出示一張地圖)
T: This is a map.(教師領讀, 學生跟讀map)
T: This is north. North points up on a map.(教師領讀north.找一組學生一個接一個的讀north.)用同樣的方法教授south, east, west.
T: Ok, let’s listen to the tape and read the sentences.
Step2: Practice
1. Game. 教師出示一張地圖,一名同學站在地圖前,指出正確的方向,一名同學使用短語such as: point north/ south/ east/ west.其他同學在第一個學生指出正確的方向時,鼓掌,錯誤的重新指正,最少找5組,以上學生練習.
2. Practice.
教師出示一張world map. Ask: What countries are north? 找3-5名學生回答,用同樣的方法以學生一問一答的形式練習.
S1: What countries are south?
S2: …is south.
Step3: Lesson57 N2 Where are they from?
T: says: What do the students already know about English speaking countries?
Does anyone have any relatives living in English-speaking countries?
Now please look at the blackboard.(教師出示世界地圖,和學生一起指出說英語的國家.)
Step4: 1.指導學生練習讀對話一遍.
2. Play the audiotape as the students follow along in their student book. Then ask the students to read each sentence aloud with you.
3. 要求學生分組練習:Teacher says: Practice in pairs. 練習3分鐘后,要求學生分組表演對話.)

Teacher: Ask for the students act out the dialogue in lesson57.(至少要3至5組學生進行表演).
N1 a map of the world
Step1: 教師出示一張世界地圖.
Teacher: Look, my little friends! This is a world map.（領讀map３遍．）Let’s guess. What’s the meaning of the world?(要學生猜測world的含義)
Ask: What color is China?(請一名學生回答)
２. Where is the United States?(請一名學生上前面來指出United States的位置)
３. What color is the United Kindom?
4. What color is Canada?
5. What country is yellow?(教師針對每一個問題分別找學生回答。)
出示幻燈片：Discuss: What do the students already know about English speaking countries?(分別出示Australia, UK, USA, Canada的風土人情幻燈片)。
Step2: practice.
1. Ok, We have already known a lot about English speaking. Now let’s read the part in pairs. (給大家３分鐘時間分別成組練習。)
2. Play the audiotape as the students follow along in their student books.
3. Ask the students to read each sentence aloud with you.
4. Ask the students to practice in pairs and act it out.(再給學生２分鐘的時間練習讀對話，２分鐘后找６－８組學生分別到前面來示范表演對話。)
N2. Let’s sing a song.
Step3: Look, class. 出示幻燈片，領讀north, south, east, west 這幾個單詞，教師領讀一遍后，找３名學生繼續領渡這幾個單詞。
Teacher says: Today we’ll learn the song . At first, let’s listen to the tape.(出示幻燈片這首歌曲的歌詞)。
２. Learn the song line by line.
3. Sing the song twice.
First time point to north/ south/ east/ west.
Second time face to north/ south/ east/ west.

T: Good morning, class!

T: Now, please look at the blackboard. (教師出示一張地圖).
What’s this?
S: This is a map of our country.
T: Yes, This is a map of our country.
We live in China, We speak Chinese.(教師教授speak, Chinese).教師領讀５遍，找２組學生分別讀這幾個單詞。）
We speak Chinese. Chinese is the meaning of “漢語“。
Now please answer my question “ what’s the meaning of the speak?
T: 出示幻燈篇，講解speak的用法。
T: We live in China. Beijing is the capital city of China!(出示Beijing的圖片)
Now please let’s guess capital “What’s meaning?”
S: 首都
T: Very good.（教師領讀capital單詞）

4. Beijing has Tian’anmen Square. (接著出示五星紅旗，天安門， 故宮的圖片，介紹單詞flag, Tian’anmen Square, Palace Museum.以及三幅圖片。

重點知識講解：I know they speak English and French.我知道他們說英語和法語。
加拿大的官方語言是英語和法語。這是因為加拿大成為國家時，有很多的法國移民住在加拿大。

教學步驟：

Duty Report 匯報完必說的內容后，讓同學們自由提問：

Step2:Presentation
1.取出一張Canada with a map. Ask the students questions they probably can answer about Canada. For example.

Point to Beijing and Ottawa and say:
Beijing is the capital city of China.
Ottawa is the Capital city of Canada.
Discuss: What do you know about Canada?

2. Explain. Note that in Canada, they speak English and French because many French people lived in Canada when Canada became a country.

Step4: Presentation
1. 介紹Canada's flag,Niagara Falls and the Rocky Mountains.
2. 組織學生進行討論：What do you know about them?
Step5: Practice
1. 要求學生跟讀錄音機，然后教師逐句進行領讀兩遍后，給學生3分鐘的時間進行練習。
2.找3-5名同學對這段話。
3. Practice the dialogue.
Divide the class into two groups. One group "Lives in Canada" and the other group "lives in China". Make a dialogue as follows:

Continue the dialogue to include the U.S.(What country is this? Do you know?) 可能有一些學生已經從英語書上知道一些關于U.S.的事情,所以當他們能說出一些相關內容的時候要及時的表揚鼓勵他們.而后和學生一起討論U.S. 的相關內容.

1. Read and Play the audiotape as the students follow along in their student books. Then ask the students to read each sentence aloud with you.
2.Read. 同時要求同學模仿對話，兩個人一組表演對話，然后向全班同學展示。
Step4: Presentation
Show the pictures to introduce the flag of the U.S. the White House and the Statue of Liberty.(出示圖片分別介紹他們.)
Step5: Practice
1. 要求學生跟讀錄音，然后教師逐句進行領讀兩遍后，給學生3分鐘的時間進行練習。
2.找3-5名同學對這段話。

教師出示一張帶有Australia的地圖,說:Do you know what country it is?

Where is Australia?當學生能夠回答出It’s southeast of China.時,及時講解southeast. southeast是south和east組成的合成詞,意思是 “東南”.要注意其構成是south在前,east在后.翻譯漢語時恰恰相反.類似的還有southwest(西南), northeast(東北), northwest(西北).

What do they speak?
如果學生回答正確的話,教師采用 Right!/ Very good!/ That’s right.等句子對他們的回答表示贊同.

Read. Play the audiotape as the students follow along in their student books. Then ask the students to read each sentence
aloud with you.
取出一組卡片,讓學生分別說出China, Canada, the U.S. The U.K. and Australia.
練習之后,給學生2分鐘的時間練習對話,然后和學生一起討論下列問題.
What’s it famous for? 根據這個問題引出lesson 63的第二個部分.
Step3:presentation
Show the pictures to introduce Australia’s flag, kangaroos and beaches.
同時講授Australia has beautiful beaches.
beach的復數形式為beaches.向學生介紹以s, x, ch, sh為結尾的名詞變復數時,需要在詞尾加es.
Then Read. Play the audiotape as the students follow along in their student books. Then ask the students to read each sentence
aloud with you.
然后給學生3分鐘的時間自己練習朗讀對話,之后找5名同學用英語介紹Australia.
