哪些單詞含有雙寫鋪音寫母 ?
雙寫輔音字母是單詞拼寫中必須注意的一個拼寫規(guī)則，輔音字母雙寫本身很簡單，但中學生往往出現(xiàn)疏漏，NMET96單詞拼寫題考查了 attentively ( 專心 ) ，書面表達中自然也會用到不少此類單詞。現(xiàn)將《考試說明》“詞匯表”中的此類單詞總結出來，以便同學們集中突破。

〖明晰〗win(gain, achieve)independence from 從……控制下贏得獨立。
independence為不可數(shù)名詞“獨立，自主，自立”其形容詞為independent, 其搭配為be independent of“離……獨立；和……無關”。如：
The broadcasting corporation is proud of its independence of Government .
2 . This experience was to change his life . 這次經(jīng)歷后來改變了他的生活。
〖明晰〗(1)experience作“經(jīng)歷；經(jīng)歷的事；閱歷”時是可數(shù)名詞，作“經(jīng)驗，體驗，感受”時是不可數(shù)名詞。另外，該詞還可作動詞“經(jīng)歷，體驗”。如：

(2)to change his life為不定式作表語。不定式作表語可表達主語的內(nèi)容。如：

3 . South Africa passed further laws designed to make life difficult for non-whites . 南非通過更多的法令，企圖給非白人的生活造成困難。
〖明晰〗(1)further為far的比較級之一，表抽象的“更多的，進一步的， 另外的”之意， further在現(xiàn)代英語中也常用于表距離( = farther) 指“更遠的， 較遠的”， further還可作動詞表“促進，推進，助長”。如：

take further action采取進一步的行動

(2)designed to…是過去分詞短語作laws的后置定語。design作動詞有“設計； 謀 劃；策劃；打算”之意，其常見搭配為：by design故意地。
4 . Gandhi returned to India in 1915 and was honoured as a hero . 甘地于1915年回到印度，被授予英雄的稱號。
〖明晰〗be honoured as被尊為……。honour作動詞是“尊敬；尊重；向……表示敬意； 給……以榮譽；給……授勛”之意。如：honour revolutionary martyrs 向革命烈士致敬/be honoured with the degree of Ph . D . 被授予哲學博士學位。

〖明晰〗more than在口語中常作“非常，極其；超出……的”講。在書面語中是“遠非，比……更”作。如：

〖明晰〗make personal gain from 從……謀取個人私利。 make 可作“掙得， 賺得”如：make a living by + ing 靠干……謀生，make money 賺錢，make one's fortune 發(fā)財，make millions in oil 在石油上獲利千百萬元。
gain作名詞有“獲得的東西， ( - s) 收益， 利潤”之意。 如：make gains at other's expense損人利己，ill-gotten gains不義之財。

〖明晰〗reach out for (臂、足)伸出。在本課相當于be engaged in, be devoted to . 如：

9 . fairness, fair, justice, just
〖明晰〗 (1)fair 常用形容詞“公平的，公正的”，其名詞為fairness“公正，公平”。(含 做事)公平，公道合理，不因個人情感或利益采取不正常行為。如：
We should be fair with one another . 我們彼此都應光明正大。
She doesn't think the arrangement means fairness, does she ?
(2)just作形容詞“公正的，正直的，正義的，公平的”，其名詞為justice “正義，公平，公正，合法”。（常做司法用詞，合乎道義，做事符合大局， 不損害公眾利益。）如：
They are fighting for a just cause with the world people .
The murderer was brought to justice .
People are expecting the judges will do justice to the murder .
10 . socialism, social, society, socialist
〖明晰〗socialism 社會主義。social 社會的；社交的。society 社會； 交際； 社交界。 socialist 社會主義的；社會主義者。socialize使社會化。如：

11 . oppose, object, against, disagree, disapprove
〖明晰〗 (1)oppose“反對”，表示采取積極行動來反對，著重動作，反對的對象一般是較重大的事。當主語反對時常用：be opposed to，當主語被反對時常用：be opposed by。如：
He doesn't oppose the plan at all .
We were opposed by a force twice the size of our own .
I'm opposed to destroying the forest .
(2)object“反對”，指個人不贊成某事，或持有相反的意見,其名詞為objection . 常見搭配為：object to+ing, have no objection to有反對。如：
She objects to being scolded in public .
(3)against 為介詞“反對”。 disagree “不同意”是指平等關系的意見不同。 disapprove“不同意”指上級對下級或局外人對當事人的看法。如：
Those who are not for me are against me .
那此不同意我的人就是反對我。
They disagreed as to when the wedding should take place .
關于何時舉行婚禮，他們意見不同。
His parents disapproved of his marriage .

〖明晰〗 (1)possess“占有”，其名詞為possession（含占有自己的東西）， 常見搭配有： in possession of“占有”（指主語占有）；in the possession of “被占有”（指主語處于被支配）；take possession of占有。如：
Our village possesses 15 tractors .
He was in possession of a large quantity of property .
(2)have 作“具有”是普通用語。own“擁有”的是合法的獲取，具有法律上的所有權。 hold和keep作“擁有”時常有守護而不讓人奪走之意。

〖明晰〗 (1)owing to“因為，由于”，在句中常作狀語，可置句首或置句未。due to“由于” 常在句中作表語和定語，但現(xiàn)在常與owing to換用。如：

(2)on account of和as a result of “由于”在句中作狀語，相當于because of。如：

復合賓語與高考
賓語補語可以是形容詞、名詞、現(xiàn)在分詞、過去分詞、介詞短語和副詞，也可以是動詞不定式，或是從句。賓語補足語結構在 SEFC 中運用很廣泛，而且動詞 make , keep , leave , find 和 feel 在新教材中出現(xiàn)率很高，也是學習中的難點。
〖思維1〗 keep 在 SVOC 中的釋義是“使某人或某事保持在某一狀態(tài)”。
