⒈ 主語從句

⑴ 主語從句在句子中充當主語

E.g. Why he refused to work with you is still a mystery.

Whatever comes is welcome.

⑵ 主語從句前的that不能省略,僅僅起連接作用,有時候為保持句子平衡,that從句后置,而由it作形式主語。

E.g. That he became a lawyer may have been due to his mother’s influence.

It is not true that he has moved to New York.

⒉ 賓語從句在句子中充當賓語

E.g. I don’t know where the sound came from.

Don’t be satisfied with what you have achieved.

⒊ 當從句放在系動詞be, look, remain, seem等后構成表語從句。

E.g. The trouble is that I have lost his address.

It seemed that the night would never end.

⒋ 同位語從句

⑴同位語從句是對與之同位的名詞中心詞作進一步解釋,能接同位語從句的常見名詞有: idea, news, fact, problem, belief, opinion, hope, understanding…

⒌ whether與if 在名詞性從句中的用法區別

if 一般 指用于引導從句,而whether可引導包括賓語從句在內的其他名詞性從句。

⑴連詞whether引導主語從句,表語從句時不能用if來替換。

⑵賓語從句中,whether常與or not搭配,也可以說 whether or not, 而不說if or not.

E.g. I don’t care whether or not she will attend the meeting.

⑶whether也可用在介詞 后,或帶to 不定式前,if or not.

E.g. She doesn’t know whether to get married now or wait.

I haven’t settled the question of whether I’ll go back home.

⑷ 某些動詞后面(如discuss)只能用whether, 不用if .

E.g. We discussed whether we should go on climbing.

在句子中做主語的從句叫主語從句,是一種 重要的名詞性從句。

⒈由what等連詞引導的從句

⒉ 由that 引導的主語從句

⒊ 由whether, if等引導的主語從句,句

首用Whether

⒋ 由whoever. whatever等引導的主語從句

whoever=the person who或anyone who. who 也可以引導主語從句,但只能表示“誰”

Anyone 與the person皆不能引導從句。

⒌ 由it 作形式主語引起的主語 從句

that從句做主語時候,常用it做形式主語,而把that引導的主語從句放到句子后。在下列情況下使用形式主語it,將主語從句放在句尾。

⑴位于是seem,appear,be(im)possible,be a pity,be a wonder,be likely等。

E.g. It seemed certain that this would win the prize.

It appeared that he was right.

⑵在It is known…; It is said…;It is hoped…; It is believed…等句型中。

注意:有時候在“It is necessary(important. suggested等)+that clause”結構中, that從句常用“should+動詞原形” 形式來表示虛擬語氣, 其中should常可省去.

⒊ There could be as many as six hundred thousand sheep fed within six miles of Salisbury, measuring every way round and the town in the centre.

⑴句中fed within six miles of Salisbury是一個過去分詞短語修飾sheep,measuring…是一個V-ing短語,修飾six miles of Salisbury。

⒍ …, which employ the poor of a great part of the country round-namely, making cloth and sheets,

e.g. Two boys are late for school today-namely, Tom and Jim.

⒎ …with many small and clear rivers, and rich fields bearing fruit and grain.

⑴bearing fruit and grain做賓語補足語,bear“結果實”,產生,長出

e.g. The tree is bearing a lot of apples this year.

⑵ with +賓語+v-ing,在此做狀語。

E.g. With you standing here, we can’t work.

⒏ …, village and houses, and among them(指代houses) many(后省略了are) of good size.

E.g. The cellphone is of great high quality.

=The cellphone has high quality.

選擇come up 表示熊向我們靠近過來,come up 有靠近,走近,發生的意思。而come out表示出版,出現;come back 表示恢復的意思。故選擇come up。
